Players can select the game mode that they enjoy most, 1v1 or 2v2, in order to mix or compete with their friends.

All of the characters from part 1 to part 3 will be combined together with new characters from part 3 to create a character selection system similar to that seen in version 1 of Tekken in 1999. Tekken Tag Tournament 2 is a fighting game for two or four players, and the story takes place in the eighth installment of the “Tekken Fighting Game” series, which was originally released in 2011.
